Green Bay Appleton, WI, October 14, 2026 —
Green Bay Packers special teams coordinator Cam Achord awards a sledgehammer to a player for what is called the “big hit of the week” following victories, according to the available account.
The description identifies Achord as the team’s new special teams coordinator, but does not specify when he began the role or provide further details about the award. It also does not name the player who received the sledgehammer, identify the game in which the hit occurred or give a date for the presentation.
The account does not explain how a hit is selected, whether the recognition is given after every victory, or what happens to the sledgehammer after it is awarded. No comments from Achord or players are included. The stated purpose of the award is limited to recognizing the “big hit of the week”; no additional rationale is provided.
The available information therefore describes a post-victory recognition tied to a weekly hit, but leaves the specific recipient and circumstances unclear. Further details about the award’s timing, selection process and history were not provided.
