BeneLynk Launches VeteransChoose.com

The site gives Veterans currently participating in Veteran-Directed Care — and those just learning what the program offers — a single place to understand their options, see how the program works, and take the next step.

In addition to being a source of information, VeteransChoose.com will serve as the access point for the MyLynk portal for Veteran-Directed Care participants, their workers, and administering agencies. MyLynk is BeneLynk’s proprietary self-direction management system, enabling Veterans to onboard Direct Care Workers, track budget spending and remaining balances, and manage their care simply and confidently.

Veteran-Directed Care (VDC) is a VA program that gives eligible Veterans a flexible budget and the ability to decide who provides their personal care and how that care is delivered, including the option to hire family members or trusted friends as paid caregivers. Veterans work with a local Aging and Disability Network Agency (ADNA) and, when the agency partners with an FMS provider like Veterans Choose, receive support managing the budget, payroll, and paperwork associated with self-directed care. VeteransChoose.com walks new visitors through eligibility, the enrollment process, and what to expect once care begins in plain language rather than program jargon.

MyLynk is built around the day-to-day tasks that make self-directed care work in practice. Through MyLynk, Veterans and their representatives will be able to:

• Onboard and manage Direct Care Workers, including required documentation
• View real-time budget spent, remaining, and projected balances
• Submit and approve worker timesheets, with built-in electronic visit verification (EVV)
• Track payroll and tax filing status
• Communicate directly with a dedicated Veterans Choose advocate for questions or issues

The goal is simple: give Veterans the clarity, control, and support they need to direct their own care.

In addition, Veterans Choose acts as the fiscal employer agent for enrolled Veterans, handling the employer-related tax and payroll responsibilities associated with hiring a direct care worker. Technology is only one part of successfully managing self-directed care, especially for Veterans and families navigating this process for the first time. That’s why every Veteran working with Veterans Choose has access to a dedicated advocate who can answer questions, resolve issues, and help them get the most out of their benefit, alongside the ADNA and VA case managers already supporting their care.
