TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Schellman, a leading global provider of attestation and compliance services, today announced that Marshall Lux has joined its Board of Directors. Lux spent more than 20 years at McKinsey & Company, where he became a Senior Partner and led large parts of its Private Equity, Financial Services, Technology, and Risk practices, before serving as Global Chief Risk Officer for all consumer products at JPMorgan Chase. He later joined Boston Consulting Group as a Senior Partner.
The appointment follows Schellman’s recent strategic investment from Goldman Sachs Alternatives and a year of expanded leadership investment, including the additions of Sachin Bansal as Chief Operating Officer, Mark Coster as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions, Chirag Jain as Chief Global Capability Officer, and Sonja Beaubien as Vice President, Head of Operational Strategy. Lux adds decades of risk governance and growth-stage leadership to Schellman’s board as the firm builds toward its next phase.
“Marshall is exactly the kind of person we want around the table as we think about Schellman’s next chapter,” said Avani Desai, CEO of Schellman. “He has spent his career helping companies grow, evolve, and make the hard choices that come with scale. He understands financial services deeply, he understands professional services, and he knows how to turn strategy into action. Just as importantly, Marshall is curious, direct, and not afraid to challenge the thinking in the room. We have an ambitious vision for Schellman, and I know he is going to make us better as we build toward it.”
“Trust is the actual product in this business,” said Lux. “Schellman’s clients aren’t just buying a report — they’re buying confidence in how a company manages risk. That’s been the throughline of my career, whether I was sitting in the CRO seat or advising a board. I’m excited to bring that lens to Schellman as the firm scales into its next chapter.”
Lux currently sits on the boards of Flagstar Bank, Mphasis, GreenSky, the Guardian Variable Products Trust, Apollo Private Markets IDC, and Kapitus, and advises a number of private equity and venture capital firms. He is a Senior Fellow at Georgetown University’s Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy and a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School.
