TEMP-PACK Marks One Year Since Merging Three Central Texas Storage Brands Into One

TEMP-PACK marks one year since uniting MI-BOX Austin/San Antonio, Self Pack, and Mobile Cold Storage into one Buda-based mobile and cold storage brand.

MI-BOX^® of Austin/San Antonio, Self Pack, and Mobile Cold Storage became TEMP-PACK Mobile & Cold Storage, one brand covering both portable storage and refrigerated storage across roughly a 75-mile radius from Buda.

The people, the containers, and the service level did not change. The company has been renting portable storage units in Central Texas since 2015. What changed was that a restaurant owner who needed a freezer trailer for a festival weekend and a homeowner who needed a container for a kitchen remodel stopped having to figure out which of three companies to call. Putting one name on the whole operation was mostly us catching up to how people already thought about us.”

The consolidated company runs two service lines out of a 49,000 square foot climate-controlled facility in Buda. Mobile storage covers steel containers in 8×8, 16×8, and 20×8 foot sizes, delivered at ground level using the company’s TempTrack hydraulic lift system, then either relocated or stored at the Buda climate-controlled facility. Cold storage covers 8×12 foot refrigerated and freezer trailers that arrive pre-cooled, set anywhere between 0 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit. TEMP-PACK has recently launched their EaaS product line for cold storage, for those customers that are looking for longer-term cold storage needs.

The second product line is the unusual part. Portable storage companies in Texas are not hard to find. TEMP-PACK says it is one of the only ones serving Austin and San Antonio that handles mobile and cold storage from the same local team, which matters most to the customers who need both for the same event: caterers, event producers, BBQ competition teams, grocers, pharmacies, and senior living facilities.
