SIV Ambulances has spent 2026 quietly building its Type II manufacturing program and is now introducing two Ford Transit Type II ambulances — the SIV Responder (Medium Roof) and SIV Responder XL (High Roof).

“This is a defining moment for SIV,” said Sergio Siv, CEO of SIV Ambulances. “We are the new generation. The decades-long era of the same names dominating this industry is over. We’re just getting started, and this is only the first move.”

NEW TO MANUFACTURING. NOT NEW TO AMBULANCES

SIV Ambulances has entered manufacturing with relationships built across the industry. EMS agencies nationwide and dealer partners have worked with SIV for years, establishing trust long before the launch of its own ambulance.

SIV has also completed more than 500 ambulance remounts. Hundreds of ambulances taken apart, rebuilt and returned to service gave the SIV team firsthand experience with how different designs, materials and systems perform over time — and a strong foundation to build from.

“High-quality remounting is one of the hardest things to do well in this industry,” Siv said. “Every ambulance is different. You’re dealing with different manufacturers, different electrical systems, discontinued components, parts that break during disassembly, new equipment that has to integrate with old systems, and customer changes throughout the process. You learn to solve problems every single day. Manufacturing feels easy to us because we started with the hard part first.”

That experience, combined with direct input from EMS agencies, helped shape the SIV Responder.

“We didn’t spend 2026 talking about becoming an ambulance manufacturer. We spent it building ambulances,” said Mark Poberezhnyuk, President of SIV’s Type II Division. “We built the team, developed the process and put the Responder into production. Now we’re ready to scale.”

$20 MILLION MANUFACTURING EXPANSION

SIV is backing its move into ambulance manufacturing with a $20 million expansion plan focused on growing its workforce, inventory, infrastructure and production capacity.

The plan includes a new purpose-built ambulance manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania, expanded chassis and parts inventory, additional manufacturing equipment and continued investment in SIV’s growing workforce. Architectural and civil engineering plans for the new facility are being finalized as SIV prepares to expand beyond its current manufacturing capacity.

The expansion will add significant capacity to SIV’s existing manufacturing operations creating new jobs and supporting the company’s continued growth in Pennsylvania.

“We’re putting $20 million behind the future of SIV,” Siv said. “We’re investing in people, inventory, production and a new manufacturing home. We’re building for the company we intend to become, not the company we are today. We know exactly where we’re going.”
